Multi-Fibre Arrangement related forums and events

Between 2003 and 2008, MSN put a great deal of attention to analyzing and mapping the potential and actual impacts of the 2005 end of the global import quota system under the Multi-Fibre Arrangement (MFA). As early as September 2003, MSN wrote about the possible impacts of the demise of the MFA on garment workers in that issue of our Codes Memo.

ETAG Ethical Trading Forums

The Ethical Trading Action Group (ETAG), for which MSN acted as the Secretariat, sponsored annual Ethical Trading Forums on pressing issues and developments related to labour rights in the global apparel industry. The forums attracted representatives of retailers and brands, government departments, CSR organizations, public institutions with ethical purchasing policies, parallel initiatives in other sectors, international development organizations, trade unions, faith organizations, as well as individual researchers, students and teachers, and the media.
